Skin images were made by Nicole on UF and the coding was done by Nicole, Raven, and with a little help from Slightly Insane. Steal and you'll have a bunch of crazy girls show up at your house and castrate you with a fork. Fonts are from dafont and brushes are from assorted sources, but none are made by me. Some canon characters are based off of TV shows and movies, and obviously we don't claim to have thought them up ourselves.

 Getting settled... [open]

LC twisted his key in the lock of his new dorm room and stepped inside quietly. He was told that he already had a roommate and felt a little awkward just barging into the space that some guy had already established as his own, but hey, it was school, what can you do? The little brunette shut the door behind him quietly and took the unoccupied side of the room. A few of his roommate's belongings were scattered on his side, that was to be expected as the guy'd had the room so himself efore. But, LC was careful to move them, and set them kindly on the other guy's bed before unpacking his own things.

First was his bedding, wite silk sheets and a white, cushy down comforter were expertly spread over LC's new bed. Along with a fairly large collection of very fluffy pillows, all in white of course although the pillowcase colors do change from time to time, always to match the sheets. Once his bed was made. the dancer opened the drawer on his bedside table and dropped all of his smaller things inside it; cell phone, change, odds and ends, jewelry, etc. Then, LC turned to the wall to stock his new closet with clothes and shoes. All kinds of outfits, for dress, dance, every day, sleep wear, etc. Basically everything that he'd need at some point, sooner or later. If he found himself lacking he could always go buy more.

The final space to fill was the desk. He dropped his sketch book on the desk that was provided and plugged in his laptop. A few more things were shelved and placed here and there on the desk; knick-knacks, a couple of mermaid figurines, he'll shamefully admit to having an affection for mermaid memorabilia. After that, he added a few of his favorite books to the desk. The final touch was a fish bowl with a little, brightly colored beta inside of it, and a cup of pencils next to his laptop. With everything in place, the desk was all set. LC then returned to the closet and dropped his bags on its floor next to his shoes and he turned back around to get a good look at his own half of the room.

It wasn't completely done yet, but he'd basically set up his own space now. He fell into the comfy mass of pillows on his bed and sighed. The room was thankfully larger than he was expecting so he didn't think he'd have much trouble living with his new roommate. The only things he knew about his roommate were the guy's last name, Evander, his grade, Senior, and his school group, Literature. The young dancer figured that the rest of the details would be up to him to discover. Admittedly though, he was a bit nervous about being in closed quarters with a strange guy.

It seemed as soon as he stepped out of his dorm this morning, he was bombarded by one of the school's secretaries. They simply told him that he was getting a new dorm mate sometime later today, and not to freak out if there was some random guy in his dorm later on. It was a great way to start the day really; worrying about what his new dorm mate would be like, worrying whether this guy would be ruffling through his stuff while he was gone, ect.

All he knew was his last name, his grade, and his school group. There was no telling what the guy looked like, acted like, or worst of all: what he was here for. Everyone and anyone knew that this school was for the misfits, the rejected, the socially unstable. Very few came for the academics. And those who did, soon discovered they fit in with secretive lives of other students. Alister prayed to God that he wouldn't be some hyper-active drug addict with a strange obsession with licking other people.

Once or twice he passed his room, hearing the slight shuffling around of someone. Or maybe, he was just being paranoid. Archi finally gave in to the desire to know, and made his way to his dorm. He did make sure that he was going to give this guy slight more time, and took a very long time finding his dorm key. A light squeak of the bed springs from inside his room gave the impression that his room mate was either piling stuff on his bed, and taking a rest.

Sighing, Al placed the key into the key hole and twisted it, hearing the click of the lock. The doors always seemed to automatically lock whether you liked it or not. So basically, if you left you keys inside the room, you were screwed. Alister's hand began twitching, which made him pause before opening the door. "Agh.. Stop that.." He mumbled, slapping his hand.

Turning the door knob, he entered the little room cautiously. Peaking around the door, he noticed the other boy laying on his bed. Considering the guy was younger than him, he figured that he might be slightly freaked out by sharing a dorm with an older guy like he was two years ago. Then again, not every one is afraid of people who talk or move. Stepping inside the place, he closed the door behind him as quietly as he could.

Walking over to his own bed, Archi sat down, and coughed lightly. "Er.. Hi.. You must be my.. new dorm mate, correct?" Of course he had to be, the guy was all set up. Besides, who else had keys to his room besides the principal? "I'm.. Alister." He finished off with a small smile. There was no denying that Al had social problems. He spent most of his childhood isolated. With the smile planted on his face, he leg began twitching. Frowning for a minute, he grabbed a hold of it, before looking back up at smiling again.

LC had settled into his bed, content and comfortable. He was relazing and enjoying the short ammount of time that he'd have this room to himself before an all too unfamiliar room mate came to keep him company. Of course he was trying to stay optimistic, everyone had heard horror stories about 'your first room mate.' This one was also two years older than LC himself and in a completely different school group. What if he was a serious literature student and LC's moving in interfered with his 'creative space' or something like that?

Outside of all of this new room mate's potential personality flaws and quirks, LC had more to worry about. The dancer wasn't as naive as he sometimes seemed. He knew that almost everyone at this school didn't exactly have the most PG rated pasts. Weird or bad things have happened to most of the students or they have strange disorders or any number of odd secrets that they try to cover up. Granted the school was full of talented young artists but not one of them was exactly what they seemed to be. What if his room mate was like a total psycho. Or, there're worse things, rapist isn't exactly farfetched in a school like this...

The diminuitive brunette's brow furrowed at the frightening thoughts of all the different possibilities. All the different ways his room mate could potentially behave. The kind of person he could be. LC's discomfort around older men also made him wary about this whole situation. Before he'd had more time to psych himself out, the lock to the door of his new dorm room began to click. the dancer looked up at the door hoping for someone normal...

A scruffy looking young man peeked in through the door before he walked into the room. He didn't look intimidating at all. The fact that LC'd been expecting an intimidating room mate attested to the fact that he'd obviously been worrying too much for nothing. The brunette sat up when his dorm mate spoke, as it was only polite to look him at him since they were only just meeting. "Hi Alister." the young brunette said politely, looking up at his room mate with doe-eyes. "Uh, yeah, I guess I am your dorm mate." He added . "My name's Lani... Well, everyone calls me LC, but, yeah..." He introduced himself, his tone softer than he'd intended it to be.

By the looks of it, his dorm mate didn't look like a crazy mass-murderer here with impending doom. But then again, looks can be deceiving. Ruffing his hair and fixing his glasses, Al listened as the other spoke. He shifted lightly, feeling like he was in a job interview. They were just sort of sitting there, staring at each other from across the room..

He wasn't sure if he should be telling Lani, or LC as he claimed to be, his supposed nicknames considering they had just met. "Well.. Er.. Welcome to Adelle then." Where Karma's a bitch. "What.. uh... what're you doing? I mean what kind of dance, that is.." It was clear Archi wasn't good with words. Probably why he's been single since he entered high school. Then again, there was always the other reason why he'd never dated.

Al began wondering if he was being a little too talkative. Or if he wasn't. That was another thing that made him uncomfortable. And when he was uncomfortable, he twitched. Hence the nickname 'Twitch', which he hoped to God that his new room mate would never find out. And if he did, he would only call him that in a sense of teasing, not to make fun of him. Subconsciously, Alister's fingers began twitching on one of his hands. He began trying to pull it off as if he was drumming his fingers.. on his bed.

LC was tugging idly at his clothing while Alister spoke. It was almost like he was trying to keep his shirt looking perfect but it just sorta made him look nervous though. His doe eyes and soft tone didn't help his case too much in seeming confident either. However, Alister spoke kindly, not alot, but he seemed friendly which was reassuring enough for the young brunette to feel just a little bit more confident in himself. "Thanks for the welcome." Then, that question came. It was his favorite question sometimes and other times, well, eh...

It wasn't embarrassing to LC himself, and he didn't think this would be an issue at a school like this, but when people found out he was a dancer they were usually curious as to what kind of dance he did. He didn't mind telling them, but if you end up in a conversation with the wrong kind of teenage male, then well, you got alot of crap for being a ballet dancer. Sometimes LC was just shy about admitting it, it's not like he was embarrassed though. The little brunette was nervous about this whole situation to begin with, he didn't want a roommate giving him grief for his style of dance but, it was probably better to just tell him. He was an artist too, he probably won't care.

"Uh... Ballet." He admitted with a nervous little laugh and a light pink blush. He loved dancing, everything about it actually and right after he'd said it he didn't care really if Alister gave him crap for it. In fact, to be honest, his new room mate looked as nervous as LC himself. Also he seemed a bit, twitchy? The dancer just shrugged it off as a random observation and smiled up at his dorm mate, still doe-eyed and a bit wary. "What about you? Literature huh? What do you do?" He asked, his tone not as soft as it had been but still not big and confident.

As far as Alister could tell, this was either gonna be an awkward silence year, or a year which progressed the friendship. But, for all he could care, he was going to be graduating from this school not long from now (at least, that's what he'd been telling himself) and he would never have to deal with the hideous nickname he'd been dubbed long ago. He figured he would move far away. Maybe to Australia or something. "No problem." Al replied, pulling himself out of his little dream sequence.

LC looked like he was either uncomfortable, or he was just fixing his shirt. Maybe he was just nervous about thew new school? Sharing a room with someone you've never met? Life in general? Whatever the case, Al didn't want to make this guy any more uncomfortable than he already was. He just wanted him to settle in, and get used to the crazed lifestyle Adelle handed out to students. Don't get him wrong, Al loved Adelle. It got his mind off things. But, sometimes it added to the hectic lifestyles some teens already had.

Ruffling his head, Archi tilted his head. "Ballet? Really?" He said it louder than he intentionally meant to, and brought his voice down. "Do you play foot ball.. or something?" If guys took dance, they took hip hop or whatever it was. Something easy and fun. And if they did take ballet, they normally did it for football. He gave his room mate a quick look over, not finding that the kid was very stocky like most football players were. But who knew? Maybe he had some super secret muscles that popped out of no where when needed?

Fixing his glasses once again, Alister shrugged lightly. "Short stories.. Nothing interesting.." To be honest, he only took the thing because everything else didn't interest him. But after a good few months, he began loving it more and more. Which this basically lead to him being more and more isolated from the outside world. That was all fine with him. The outside world had a tendency to mock him anyways. With the silence filling the air once more, Archi's hand began twitching once again. Grabbing a hold of it, he began thinking of what else he could bring up, or if he should just do whatever and hope the morning came early.

After a few minutes of thinking Twitch was half tempted to tell LC about the countless notebooks, and files on his laptop filled with short stories. Figuring that he would probably be more interested in something that involved dancing, he decided not to say anything, and went with plan B. "Stop me if I'm being a little.. too talkative.. but where'd you live before you came to Adelle?" He was avoiding anything that involved awkward silences. Silences were nice, but the ones that have words lingering in the air, those bothered him.

"Football? Me?" LC laughed at the statement. At an even 5'5" height and not exactly the bulkiest build he definitely was not a football player. "Do I look like a football player to you?" He asked, laughing softly still. At least Alister was comfortable. I mean, he could've been saddled with a room mate around whom he felt totally awkward, Alister seemed pretty easy going though.

The young brunette listened to his room mate speak and admit to being a writer of short stories. "Short stories? Really?" LC asked, his tone perking up a bit. "That actually sounds really interesting." He stated. "D'you... Um... D'you have any stories you wanna share?" The young dancer asked, smiling softly at his room mate. "It's cool if you don't wanna, I'm just trying to get to know you a little better." He admitted with a kind smile. "I mean, I might as well if we're gonna be living together., right? You can be like the big brother I never had." He said with a forced giggle.

"You're not being too talkative at all." LC reassured Al. Honestly, the older guy seemed a bit quiet. He was talking, sure, but he seemed a bit shy and withdrawn. Not unlike the way LC himself is alot of the time. He used to be more vibrant, but, things change. Bad things happen, you know how it goes... "Georgia." The little brunette stated, looking over to his room mate. "I lived in Georgia. Pretty much my whole life." He admitted, blushing slightly. "Sorry if that's lame." He laughed.

"What about you? Where're you from?" LC asked. "What do you like to do for fun? Do you have a job? Are you seeing someone? D'you ever miss your family while your here? D'you..." LC trailed off before asking another question. He'd snapped back into a childish old habit of asking random, rapid-fire questions. "Sorry..." He blushed. "I didn't mean to be all nosy and talk that much." He admitted softly. "You don't have to tell me any of that stuff if you don't wanna." He said, still smiling kindly.

"I guess random questions just help to break the ice, ya know?" OK, now he felt like a spaz. He hasn't been good at meeting new people lately. He's nervous around older guys anyway, now he was living with one he'd never met. Guess it's just safer to know as much as he could. At least he was starting to feel more comfortable, his tone wasn't as soft and timid as it'd been a few minutes ago.

He felt better now that LC seemed comfortable to laugh. When it took him a good year before was comfortable to laugh around his dorm mate. Then again, his dorm mate was a giant with a criminal record. "Not exactly." He replied, chuckling. Suddenly, he felt as if he was the new comer to the school, not the other. Alright Twitch. Man up a bit. It was funny how sometimes he referred to himself as 'Twitch'. It had grown on him, followed him around for his school years.

Al could see that LC was really getting into it now. Talking more, at least. When asked about his short stories, he hesitated for a moment, ruffling his dark colored hair before standing up and going to his desk. Pausing for a moment, he began debating which notebook to grab. Grabbing a hold of the drawer closet to him, he yanked open the ancient file and grabbed a notebook. Flipping through the pages, he opened up to one containing the short story about some guy finding pixies in his basement. He didn't exactly know why he wrote about it, but when you're running on four hours of sleep thanks to finals and what not, you get a little crazy.

Setting the notebook on his lap, Archi returned to his bed, cupping his hands together. Laughing, he fixed his glasses once again. "Don't have any older siblings?" It would be nice to have a 'little brother' living in the same dorm as him. He was only a year or two older than his own brother, but obviously was nothing like him. Eudor, or 'E' as he demanded now, was... not like how he used to be. It would be interesting to see how he could've been. That would be a dream sequence for sure.

Relief washed over him when he was told he wasn't talking much. His little talking seemed like quite a bit to him. Slowly, he was becoming more and more at ease. Maybe having a younger dorm mate wouldn't be so bad after all? Who knew. "Nah, that's not lame at all.. I actually live just a couple towns over. So nothing exciting there either." He reassured him. Al's eyes widened as he began being bombarded with questions. Every time he took a breath, he responded with an 'Uh'. Laughing as LC finished off with an apology, he ruffled his hair once again. "Lemme just.. process some of this first."

Taking off his glasses, and cleaning them on his shirt, he paused, trying to re-run the questions in his mind before putting the glasses back on his face. "Uh.. I like to write, I guess.. And read.. Err.. I don't have a job. I don't plan on getting one until after graduation. All I need money for is clothing and food anyways.." He laughed, thinking about the next question. "Er.. No, I'm no seeing anyone.. I'm not really a date able guy I guess." Al forced a laugh there, trying to make it humorous. "I guess I miss my family.. My mum has to deal with my brother all day long, so I guess I feel bad for her."

Sitting up straighter now, he grinned as well as he could at least. "Ditto the questions." It was as simple as that, he didn't make it complicated. The twitching in his hand had ceased, for now at least. Ruffling his brown hair once more, he finally go around to looking at LC's half of the room. It wasn't decorated yet, not that it had to be, but possessions were here and there. Looking at his own half, Archi frowned slightly. His was uninteresting. Nothing special. Drawers with papers sticking out was about as decorative as it got. He didn't really have a nag for decoration anyways.

LC laughed softly, "Actually, I have an older brother." The young brunette admitted. "I guess it just sounded better when I said 'the older brother I never had' ya know?" He stated with a kind smile. He felt pretty at ease at this point. Al seemed like someone he'd get along well with. Which, given his feelings towards certain older guys, was a pretty good thing.

"Haha, sorry again for the question attack by the way." LC apologized again before answering Alister's 'ditto' questions. The dancer took a moment to look around the room and gather his thoughts. "Well, stuff I do for fun? I like dancing. Obviously." He admitted with a little laugh. "Outside of that I really just do whatever. I used to be big on clubs and parties, I guess I still kinda am. I just don't talk to as many people when I go." He stated softly, looking away for a second. He wasn't about to go into his past or his current love for certain beverages and so he just kinda stopped with the talk of parties and the like. Next question.

"As for a job, I've never had one." The little brunette told his room mate. "I mean, I guess I'd like one but I think I might get bored with it too easily. I dunno, maybe I'll get something on the side later this year." He stated optimistically. "We'll see what happens." LC said with a kind smile still sitting on his features. Then the next question, dating. "Haha, dating... Not so much on my list of things to do these days." He said, looking away and tugging at his clothes again. "It's not like I don't want to, I guess I'm just a bit shaky about it. I dunno..."

LC took a breath and he continued answering his own questions for Alister, keeping his mind off his history with dating, "I miss my mom. Even my brother sometimes, annoying as he can be. But, being here's a great opportunity. Or, so I've heard... I've also heard about the types of people who come here so I'm still waiting to see how I feel about the place. I am ok though, here without family I mean. It's not like I'm miserably home sick or anything." He said with another soft laugh. LC stopped tugging at his clothes and looked up at Al with a bright smile that he kinda had to force. "So you've been here for a while right? What's there to do around town?" The young dancer asked.

So it was a bit of a random change of subject. Well, not really that random, just different. All he wanted was to get the topic of conversation off of himself. Not like he didn't want to tell Al about himself, just some of the quesitons stuck his thoughts on something he really didn't want them to be on. "Feel free to say no to this question," LC began, flashing another bright smile, "But, d'you think you could show me around town and the school? I mean, I don't know anyone else and it'd help to know what's around." He noted.
