It had been too long since she had actually stayed outside for more than thirty minutes. Usually she was inside working on a costume, or reading, or just watching Leyla. Sometimes she would go out to go to McFlyers, or to a local clothing store. The men that owned McFlyers were nice enough to her, but were usually bickering about something when she got in there. It was amusing, she had to admit, to watch them fight like and old married couple. She came early just for that reason. Well, that and the fact that more people came closer to night time, and more people meant the place got more crowded. She didn’t really like sitting in the crowded area.
Eve placed Leyla in her bed and quickly grabbed up her ipod. She placed the earphones in her ear and tucked one of her books under her arm. With a quick glance around the room, she decided that it looked alright enough. That and she would be able to tell if anyone else came in here. Nobody else had a key, but one never knew. She had that strange few that someone would come in and ransack her room. Leyla might be hurt then too, which would just enrage the poor girl. And let it be known that Evelyn almost never got mad.
Evelyn hummed softly under her breath with the song that pulsed from her earphones. “Lola…Lalalala Lola.” She murmured, so softly that she was probably the only one that heard it. Hopefully she was the only one that heard it. Eve slid past people in the hallway, making sure she didn’t brush against any of them. Being that close to someone just sent a shiver down her spine. Her fear was probably irrational to other people but…they just didn’t understand. It was as simple as that.
Once outside, Eve picked a tree and rested beneath it. She leaned her back up against the tree and cracked open her book. The pale girl drew her knees up closer to her chest so she could rest her book on her knees. Her moment of serenity lasted for a while…until a group of hammered kids decided to wander over her way. It was her own stupid fault for going out in the afternoon. One of the boys knocked the book from her hands and leaned closer to her. His breath was rancid against her face, and she tried to back up. Too bad her back was still to the tree. Damnit.
”Hey there sweetie. Why dun you come wit me ‘n my buds?”
Eve grit her teeth and moved to the side, trying to escape Rancid Breath. “Just leave me alone alright? I don’t want to go.” The man snickered and shouted something to his friends. Evelyn took that chance to stand up and run for it. She ran as fast as she could, and could almost hear the trampling of the drunken kids’ feet behind her. She needed to find some place to hide, and quick. The first place she saw was the old greenhouse, so she dove in that direction.
Pressing herself against the wall inside the greenhouse, Eve waited until she heard the voices of the men drift away before she moved. With a sigh, she slid down the wall and shook her head. Her heart was still hammering in her chest, and she pressed her hand against her chest. In her haste, she had quite forgotten that the green house was home to the ‘Armada’. But now, she was trapped, there was no use worrying over it. Some more voices passed by the greenhouse, and Eve stiffened. The boys again? Please god no.

That morning, Bryn had woken up with one killer hangover. He had spent last night in the Purple Frog again. He had been doing that more and more recently and was going through shirts like they were going out of fashion. Each night a new drink was spilt on another shirt, or the buttons would have been ripped off by some female who must have thought she was a lioness or something. If, by some chance, Bryn hadnt had a female attack his shirt, either for wanting the shirt itself, or its contents, or have a drink spilled on it, by the end of the night Bryns shirt would be off if he was drunk enough and no doubt he would lose it. Literally on both counts. He was usually reckless when it came to drinking, started off slowly and who knew what happened later on that night, even Bryn couldnt honestly tell you.
Laying on his bed, arm over his eyes and listening to the sound of the people outside, he breathed a sigh, finally deciding lying on his bed wouldnt get rid of his headache he stood up, got dressed and took some painkillers. Putting his hands on either side of the sink, he closed his eyes before looking up into the mirror. Deciding he looked awful he spashed some cold water on his face in the hope of waking himself up a bit, before sorting his rosebush hair enough which, actually Bryn wouldnt have put it past himself to have been in a rosebush last night, he often went looking for things to run through, and sometimes things like fountains did the trick, especially on hot nights.
"Well," He said looking in the mirror, "I guess I'll do."
Walking out of the room, closing the door behind him and instantly being lost in the pull of students. Running a hand as he walked down the corridors, taking a left quickly into a more deserted corridor. Being around too many people right now was just too much for his head, he couldnt even think very well to come up with any decent snippy comments or anything. Hangovers certainly threw Bryn off his game and today was no different. Rubbing his temples as he walked, his should collided with someone who turned and glared at him, "Watch where your going!" Bryn didnt stop and nor did he say anything else, instead he just continued on his path, not really caring much where he was heading.
The sunlight hit his eyes when he walked outside, causing him to flinch in pain for a brief moment as his head suddenly felt like someone was playing snooker in it, letting his eyes adjust, he looked around and saw a blonde girl, apparently talking to some drunks, though it was none of his business who the girl talked to, he may know her but from this distance he couldnt honestly tell, and it wasnt like his brain was being much use was it. Bryn went to turn to walk away, though when he heard the guys shout, he instinctivly looked back and saw the girl bolt. Though before Bryn knew what was going on, the drunkern lads were making chase. Now, Bryn was arrogant, he would admit that, but chasing down a female just because your drunk to have a quick one in some bush somewhere was not what Bryn liked to see people do. "No respect." He mumbled, for though he was arrogant and as stubborn as anything, at least Bryn had respect for females.
He ran around the building to cut the guys off, leaning on a building, Bryn watched as the blonde ran past him and into the greenhouse, his arms were crossed and his leg up on the wall, he could hear them closing in now, smiling he hoped they would fall for his bait. Bryn was a good liar, and when you're drunk you tend to forget how people can lie to you sometimes. "You. Uh. Mishtur..." Came one of the drunkern mans voices, Bryn looked up at him and raised an eyebrow, "Girl, blonde. Bout' this big? Seen 'er?" Bryn nodded, and pointed straight past the greenhouse, "She took a left on the second street up there." With that, they ran off in pursuit of the girl they wouldnt find. Snickering to himself, he found it amazing how drunkern people were so thick. With a push, he threw himself off the wall and made his way to the Greenhouse, pulling the door back slightly as he walked in. He hadnt been in here since the last meeting, and he didnt know anyone else who wasnt a member would even think of coming in here. Still, she had her reasons he figured. Stepping inside, he closed the door behind him, though he couldnt see the girl, he knew she was in here but he figured she may have been hiding. "They've gone." Bryn said flatly, "Sent them the wrong way."

One hand was still pressed against her chest as she waited for silence to finally fall over the place. There were a few muffled voices outside, and she couldn’t quite make out the words. Her fear that it was the men again overtook any common sense that she had, so she just sat there, waiting. After a moment, there were the sound of running feet again, and then everything was quiet. Eve’s heart was still beating violently in her chest as she sat there, waiting for it to slow down. She would wait a little longer, to make sure no one was outside, and then make her escape. Just sitting in her was suicide already.
Just as Evelyn was about to stand up, the door creaked open. She clamped a hand over her mouth and pressed her back further against the wall. Eve peaked over one of the plants, catching a glimpse of another boy standing in the greenhouse. He had his back to her, thankfully, so he hadn’t seen her yet. Unfortunately though, he shut the door behind him. Damnit, she was screwed. Maybe there was a back door she could escape out of. Evelyn moved quietly further back, making sure to stay out of sight. Her footsteps never made a noise as she crept back.
No door. Just her luck right? Cursing herself, she turned back around and moved to the spot she had been in before. The boy was still standing there. Hmm, maybe she could creep behind him, then tear ass out of there. That was an idea. So, with that on her mind, she began to creep forward again, making sure to stay out of sight. Her plan was perfect…until the boy decided to speak.
“They’ve gone. Sent them the wrong way.”
What? So he knew she was in here? And more confusing yet, he had helped her. Her, a complete stranger to him, and currently trying to escape without his notice. As she began to creep forward, pondering this, her foot snagged the edge of a table. With a small scream, Evelyn was sent sprawling onto the floor, landing with a dull thud. She groaned for a moment, before remembering where she still was. Eve sat straight up after that, and instantly regretted it.
Her head swam, vision blurring and the room began to spin. Evelyn pressed a hand against her head and glared at the ground, cursing herself again. With one pale hand, she clutched the table she had tripped on and used it to help herself up. Those two large, bright blue eyes then snapped up to the man’s face and her lips parted as if she wished to speak. But no words came out; there was only the small sound of her breathing. “…” What was she supposed to say? Thank you? I owe you a lot? Words seemed to escape her for a moment.
Flustered, she clamped her lips shut and let her hair fall back in front of her eyes. The two pale eyes focused on the ground and she shifted her weight from foot to foot. Yea, good idea Eve, pretend to play mute.
